Why the model exists at all
A sweepstakes casino holds no gambling licence in any American state. It operates under promotional law, the same framework that governs prize draws and bottle-cap competitions, and the central rule of that framework is that entry cannot be conditional on payment. Every design decision downstream of that rule exists to satisfy it.
Because entry has to be free, the operator cannot sell you a chance to win. What it sells instead is Gold Coins, an entertainment currency with no cash value, and it attaches the promotional currency alongside as a bonus. That bonus is the redeemable half.
The gold half
Gold Coins arrive in vast quantities because issuing them costs the operator almost nothing and they exist purely to keep the lobby running. Play any title with them, win more, lose the lot and request more. What you cannot do at any brand in America is convert them into money. When an advertisement leads with six figures, it is leading with gold.
The half that counts
The second currency, normally called Sweeps Coins, is the actual product. It arrives bundled with coin purchases, dropped daily into active accounts, or posted free to anyone who writes in. Staked the required number of times, it becomes redeemable for cash, gift cards or prizes depending on the operator.
That is why our table puts the redeemable figure first. A package of 250,000 GC plus 25 SC is a 25 SC offer.
Play-through in plain terms
Promotional coins arrive locked, and the play-through multiple sets how much staking unlocks them. One-times on a 50 SC balance means 50 SC staked in total, counted by stakes rather than by results, so wins and losses simply move you along the path toward the target.
Two-times doubles the distance and hands the house edge a second full run at the balance. It predicts whether a balance reaches the cashier better than any other figure we record.
Filing a redemption
Cleared and above the operator minimum, the balance can be filed. The first filing triggers identity verification, meaning a photo document and a proof of address, which adds a day or two once and then never again. After that the only variable is the cashier itself.
Our figures measure a verified, filed request through to money landing, taken three times per brand and published as the middle result.
Ready for the numbers?
The ranking puts redeemable value, minimum and play-through side by side so nothing hides behind a headline.
