Closed at every brand in this ranking without exception. Washington treats online gambling far more strictly than any other state in the country and operators make no attempt to work around it. If you are there, none of these accounts will open for you.

Idaho, Michigan, Montana and Nevada

Restricted rather than uniformly closed. Some operators exclude one or more of these as internal policy while others accept them, so one brand will register you and the next will decline. The operator rules page is the only authoritative answer, and our reviews record exclusions wherever the brand publishes them.

Everywhere else

Generally open, with age as the controlling gate. Most operators set eighteen as the minimum and a handful insist on twenty-one regardless of what state law permits, so confirm the threshold before you register rather than afterwards.

How your location is checked

Every operator geolocates at sign-up and again at redemption. A virtual private network will not help you and will usually cost you the balance, because using one to misrepresent your location breaches the terms at every brand we tested. Accounts closed for that reason do not get paid.
